OK Go has collaborated with Sesame Street on Three Primary Colors, a fun stop-motion music video that shows kids the basics of color-mixing. The video was conceived and directed by Al Jarnow. “a pioneer stop-motion animator, who made numerous classic educational and experimental short films in the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s for Sesame Street, Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact, and other shows.”
After organizing their bookshelf at home almost a year ago, the creators took this to the next level. They spent many sleepless nights moving, stacking, and animating books at Type bookstore in Toronto (883 Queen Street West, (416) 366-8973).

On November 23rd, Microsoft’s Search Engine, Bing, kicked off the holidays with a new twist on some of the most beloved characters of all-time. Building on the iconic Rankin/Bass production of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the stop-motion animated classic that first premiered in 1964, they are introducing a series of new stop-motion animation shorts (all shown in this post) featuring the original characters.
I like this universe. And the videos are fine and cute. Yet I see ABSOLUTELY NO link between the stories in the videos and Bing’s tagline for the campaign. See for yourself. The closest one is Social Search (the 3rd one here).
Google Street View stop motion animation short made as a personal project by director Tom Jenkins.
Story: A lonely desk toy longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.
Music by the wonderful Cinematic Orchestra with their Arrival of the Birds.
All screen imagery was animated – there are no screen replacements.
