Matharoo Associates created this amazing floor to ceiling entrance door that is a seemingly enticing starting point for your journey into an interesting home.
Called the “Curtain Door” and the winner of the AR Emerging International Architecture Award where the final constructed piece in an Indian home consists of some thick, Burmese Teak wood. All in all, the door is comprised of 40 sections of this wood with each individual section housing 160 pulleys, 80 ball bearings, one wire rope, and a secret counterweight. The top portion is fixed to the ceiling, but all in all it gives off a swanky, sultry vibe.
