A Bathroom Situated Atop a 15-Story Elevator Shaft

Guadalajara-based architects Hernandez Silva Arquitectos recently designed the interior of a new penthouse situated on top of a 1970s Mexican colonial building in Guadalajara, México. A notable feature of the home is a powder room situated atop an unused 15-story elevator shaft.
“A characteristic feature of the project is that a volume that was originally intended for a second elevator and was never installed becomes a powder room with a glass floor that looks down all the 15 levels, the PPDG penthouse is a great versatile modulated space, with great views all this with the concepts of transparency and the simplicity of materials”, Hernandez Silva Arquitectos says.

Lotte Time-Lapse: Birth to 12 years in 2 min. 45.

I’ve seen this kind of time-lapse concept many times before. With traffic, scenery and people and so forth. But they keep on being fascinating, I think. Especially the ones with faces.
Here Frans Hofmeester filmed his daughter Lotte every week, from birth up until se turned 12 years old an then made this time-lapse edit in FCP.

How Far Does Your Creativity Go?

The Panamericana School of Art and Design campaign created by advertising agency AlmapBBDO, São Paulo, Brazil shows sheets used to test student’s creativity level. The object is to come up as many ideas as possible for a symbol in a limited amount of time.
Thank to @hanskfroschauer for showing me this!

Origami Inspired ‘Folded Crib’ Apartment by G&R Studio

Designed by Hector Ruiz-Velazquez and Javier Garcia from G&R Studio, this stunning apartment depicts geometric influence at its finest, and seems to take on inspiration cues from the classic paper art of Origami.
The team was working with a rather small space, and in order to optimize the space they decided to view the apartment as a three-dimensional home. The result is a small, contemporary apartment that seems much larger than it actually is.
